Raising awareness about HIV and AIDS issues
Our focus around World AIDS Day is on raising awareness. We will once again provide red ribbons to Cheltenham College, and the whole school community will wear them on 1st December to show solidarity with the millions of people around the world affected by HIV and AIDS. On 26th Nov, the Saturday preceding World AIDS Day, students from Nottingham University will be 'ragraiding' for us in Birmingham, handing out red ribbons in exchange for donations to Emthonjeni Trust. If your organisation would like to get involved in a World AIDS Day event, please contact Andra Knight

World AIDS Day
1st December 2010
(This event is now in the past)
Event Review :
Our focus around World AIDS Day is on raising awareness. We provided red AIDS awareness ribbons to Cheltenham College and the whole school community wore them on 1st December showing solidarity with the millions of people around the world affected by HIV and AIDS. We arranged street collections on the Saturday preceding World AIDS Day, again hoping to hand out red AIDS ribbons to raise awareness in the community, but were severely hampered on this occasion by icy weather and severe snow.(Collectors were committee members in Cheltenham and Nottingham University students in Newcastle)
